Women’s Day 2024
Each year for The International Women’s Day I invite a collaborator to work with me on an animated piece to support a danish organisation that I believe is doing important work within women’s rights and gender equality.
In 2024, I teamed up with talented illustrator Helga Askehave to create a piece for the organisation Everyday Sexism Project Denmark who works to promote gender equality and challenge harmful norms.
The project was a collaboration where creative direction was shared, Helga developed the illustrations and I handled the animation and sound design.
The vision
Our vision was to capture ESPD’s wish to highlight how sexism intersects with other forms of discrimination and oppression.
The film is therefore built around real quotes that show what it’s like to experience racism, ableism, classism, ageism, homo-/transphobia, or discrimination based on body type, identity, or life circumstances.
This project was made to support Everyday Sexism Project Denmark’s mission to make everyday sexism unacceptable.
